The village of Lake Louise is very small compared to the neighbouring town of Banff, and at first glance you may think that your dining options are somewhat limited. However, if you know where to look, there is a good selection of restaurants in Lake Louise, and the variety of cuisine seems to keep most visitors happy for a week or two.
For a quick breakfast or lunch, or for treats for the trail or the road, you can’t the local cafes, and there are several casual restaurants to choose from for a light-hearted meal. Lake Louise restaurants excel in the fine dining category and there is a particularly good selection at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. A unique option for lunch or a snack while hiking are the two wonderful alpine tea houses, both a reasonable hike from the Chateau Lake Louise.
