PIKA
Small round body, brown fur, large round ears, no tail. Found in rock piles and slides from 8000 to 13000 feet. View Moraine Lake, Lake Louise.
HOARY MARMOT
Silver-gray fur on head, shoulders and half of its back. Reddish brown fur on back half of its back, rump and on long bushy tail. Found on rocky mountain slopes and alpine meadows. View Plain of Six Glaciers.
COYOTE
Grayish brown to yellowish brown fur, large triangular ears, long bushy tail. Found in fields, plains and bushy areas.
MOUNTAIN GOAT
All white with black horns. View Plain of Six Glaciers, Icefields Parkway 'goat lookout'.
GRIZZLY BEAR
Fur ranges from cream or silver to almost black. Slight hump above shoulder. Found along rivers and in mountain meadows.
